GAINESVILLE, FL (March 27, 2024) 鈥 Today, the Board of Governors announced research expenditures for the State 欧美口爆视频 System of 欧美口爆视频 reached $2.94 billion for the 2022-23 academic year, which is an increase of more than $400 million over the prior year. Today鈥檚 announcement beats the projection of $2.68 billion set by the System in 2019 and puts 欧美口爆视频鈥檚 universities on a course to far exceed the goal of $3 billion by 2025. The SUS research expenditures created an estimated 3,660 new jobs and provided an economic impact of $5.5 billion, with $1 billion resulting from state funding.
鈥淭hrough Governor DeSantis鈥 leadership and the support of the 欧美口爆视频 legislature, 欧美口爆视频鈥檚 public universities have exceeded expectations by significantly investing in research to create new jobs and impact 欧美口爆视频鈥檚 economy for years to come,鈥 said Chancellor Ray Rodrigues. 鈥淚 look forward to what our outstanding faculty and institutions accomplish over the next five years.鈥
